Repossessed by Shawntelle Madison

Book: Repossessed

Author: Shawntelle Madison

Series: Warlock Repo Man Chronicles #1

Synopsis:

Supernatural matchmaker Tessa Dandridge knows a little mist here and a little magic there will help reckless werewolves and precocious pixies find love. That is, until her magical Smythe scroll is lost in her repo’ed car and she can’t contact her V.I.P. clients. To connect with an important client cavorting in the fifth dimension, Tessa must depend on handsome Rob Shin, a warlock repo man, to enter Limbo and find her Smythe Scroll.

Rob has money problems of his own, thanks to the bank determined to foreclose on his elderly aunt and uncle’s home. Repossessing magic wands and cursed pianos from disgruntled warlocks isn’t the best pay, but the Navy SEAL works well as a repo man to pay off his family’s debts. Rob’s repossession jobs catch up with him when a powerful warlock seeks to end his life for his constant meddling, drawing Tessa in the middle.

Review:

I received an ARC through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

I loved Shawntelle Madison's world she created in this book. Magic isn't exactly welcomed, it's hidden from everyday people but possesses a quality that keeps it in the shadows. We get to see battling Warlocks, Wizards, and Witches.

I loved Tessa's character. Her determination, lifestyle, and job are perfect for her. A supernatural matchmaker, her job is harder than any other matchmakers. Not only does she need to find the perfect match for her clients but she has to make sure they are magically inclined to keep up with her clients. Her character was unique and I haven't read a ton of books with supernatural water witch matchmakers.

Rob was fantastic as well. A Navy SEAL that is working as a supernatural repo man. He is tall, handsome and intelligent. Currently lying to his family about why he is in New York, he becomes involved with Tessa and begins to open up a little about himself.

When Rob repos Tessa's Honda Civic he takes with it a supernatural scroll used to contact some of Tessa's largest clients. If she can't pull off what these clients are looking for she is going to have to close up her business. She is already in the red and has gone and got funding for her business from loan sharks in the supernatural world. All she needs is a big client and it will all pay off. Rob helps her get into Limbo, the void where her car is.

They try several times and each time she is getting closer. As they get to know each other a relationship blossoms and I absolutely loved them together. They were perfect for each other. Rob has a strength and determination that Tessa learns to draw from, making each of them stronger.

I am going to be keeping an eye out for more of the Warlock Repo Man Chronicles. IT looks like it is going to be a fantastic series!
