Ahh, the first of the top ten lists :) Here are ten of my favorites when it comes to writers who know their vampires! Now, these are in no particular order I just happen to love all of them and read them every chance I get. If you pick up these series you won't regret it :)

2. Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris
3. Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice
4. Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series by Laurell K. Hamilton
5. Moonlight Clan by Larissa Ione
6. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
7. Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer
8. Vampire Queen Series by Joey W. Hill
9. Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost
10. House of Night Series by P.C. Cast
Now, there are TONS of good vampire series out there. Some are by lessor known authors, indie authors and others that are just starting. In order to find your favorite, pick one up and start reading, because everyone will have a different favorite!
